In this case, the second installment – Fantastic Beasts: The Corruptions of Meandering Storytelling And Spectacular Miscasting Grindelwald -was a horrible rage dream of a film. All I could remember about it before heading into this third one was that there was something about a strained brother-sister equation. That I couldn’t for the life of me follow or regard for. So hopeless was the franchise, in fact, that they literally created a Dumbledore.

The great revelation of the second movie was that Ezra Miller’s Credence was privately a Dumbledore nobody knew about. Like most characters in this franchise, Credence had an actual impact and weight in the first film. While there was no requirement to have him be force-fit and reclaimed into the follow-up installments.
