Shahid Kapoor’s 2022 release, which is a remake of the 2019 movie of the same name and same director, is somewhere between the good and the bad. And if you are new to Jersey then you maybe might have a different experience. Jersey might revolve around the world of cricket but at the heart of it is a stunning father-son story. A story of second chances, of keeping the human spirit alive despite the hardships and the sacrifices one makes to manifest his ambitions.

Shahid plays the titular role of a 36-year-old cricketer, Arjun Talwar, who left the sport to make his wife and kid his world. You can take a man out of his sport but you can’t take the sport out of the man. Life takes an incredible turn and brings Arjun back to the pitch where he belongs. The circumstances are different and the stakes are also high. Now aging and working to catch up with the expectations of his wife and kid. Arjun faces the biggest fight of his life.
